Teaching

My teaching interests are in probability, statistics and optimization. Web pages for all the Department's courses may be found on its Teaching page.

Research

My principal research interest is probability, especially applications to stochastic networks and epidemic models. I also do occasional collaborative research in applied statistics, notably the probability and statistics of extreme values. More recently I have become interested in the mathematics and statistics of energy systems.

I am an associate editor for the journals Queueing Systems and Stochastic Models.
