Seminar on Applied Econometrics
Overview
This seminar is run jointly by the Department of Actuarial Mathematics
and Statistics in the School
of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (MACS) and the Department of Economics
in the School
of Management and Languages (SML) at Heriot-Watt University. Typical
talks address topics in applied econometrics that appeal to a larger
community of quantitative economists and statisticians with an interest
in econometric modelling. For administrative purposes this seminar
series appears as a subseries of both the Maxwell
Institute Statistics Seminar and the Economics Seminar
in the School of Management and Languages.
(Talks in the
Seminar on Applied Econometrics are
labelled as such.)
Location and Time
Seminars are usually on Fridays, mostly at 2.15pm, and take place
either in Room G01 or T01 of the Colin Maclaurin Building (MACS) or in
Room 1.3 of the Mary Burton Building (SML) at Heriot-Watt's Riccarton
Campus. Useful maps may be found here.
