I am scheduled to give one talk entitled Morita equivalence of semigroups with
local units

These are rather scrappy notes, but in ouline I shall do the following:
briefly sketch out the background, formally define when two semigroups
with local units are Morita equivalent,
show that their Morita equivalence is determined by the equivalence of
their Cauchy completions, explain how the Rees theorem
and McAlister's theory of locally inverse semigroups can be viewed as
contributions to Morita theory, describe the characterization of Morita
equivalence in terms of enlargements and, finally, outline some of the
important consequences of the Morita theory of inverse semigroups.
