Research interests Numerical analysis of time dependent PDEs including wave propagation and reservoir simulation.

Biography Qualifications: BSc (Applied Mathematics, StAndrews University), PhD (Petrov-Galerkin methods for hyperbolic PDEs, University of Dundee)
Employment: Numerical analyst with Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd., 1982-86, at Heriot-Watt since 1986.
Affiliations: member of Edinburgh and London Mathematical Societies and SIAM.
