Collaboration between mathematical modellers, computer scientists and clinicians is an essential part of Computational Modelling in Medicine. This talk explores how intelligent web-based collaboration support systems can ease some of the well-known and long-standing problems that hamper collaborative efforts. The first part of the talk will focus on a system developed to assist oncologists to design improved chemotherapies using a computational simulation of treatment outcomes and an intelligent optimisation component. The second part will explore how a number of key web technologies can be used to enhance communication between collaborators, to facilitate data exchange and interaction with computational models, to provide a flexible platform for model validation and ease the process of turning research products into practical applications.
