We are an active research department and are part of the
Maxwell Institute for Mathematical Sciences, the joint research
institute of mathematical sciences at Heriot-Watt and Edinburgh Universities.

There is a range of sources of funding for suitably qualified students.

Programme Fees
The full time overseas student fee for 2010/11 is
£10,200.
The home and EU student fee for 2010/11 is £3,940.

We look for a good honours degree in mathematics, statistics or another
numerate discipline.
You will also need a good level of English to follow lectures, do exercises,
take exams and write projects.
We can help you achieve the right level both in mathematics and in English.
