Differentiability of convex envelopes

Abstract

We prove that the convex envelope of a differentiable (resp. $C^{1,\alpha}$) function $f$ is $C^1$ (resp. $C^{1,\alpha}$) provided only that $f(x) \to \infty$ as $|x| \to \infty$.
