The city of Edinburgh
Everyone agrees that Edinburgh is a great place and an even greater
place to be a student in.
It is a capital city with the accompanying sense of excitement
but is small enough to make it intimate and friendly. It
has great culture and social life and is regularly
voted the most popular UK city in which to live.

Within 10 minutes you can be wandering along the beach, 20
minutes and you're windsurfing over the lochs, one
hour and you're skiing or climbing in the mountains.
The "old town" or medieval city is crammed with pubs,
restaurants and shops, all overlooked by
Edinburgh Castle and around the city centre are
friendly local communities such as Stockbridge,
Bruntsfield and
Marchmont where many students live in rented accommodation.
