Meeting arrangements
VenueThe Meeting will be held at the ICMS at 14 India Street (the birthplace of James Clerk Maxwell), a short walk to the north of the city-centre. (see this map.) The building will be open to participants from 2pm on Friday 16th until 4.30 pm on Saturday 17th. Tea and coffee will be provided at ICMS. Other meals and snacks are available in nearby bars and restaurants.
Accommodation
You can either arrange accommodation yourself for the night of the 16th, or the ICMS staff will make suggestions or arrange it for you. The Edinburgh Tourist Board has a useful site if you prefer to arrange your own accommodation.
Costs
The Registration fee is £10 and includes the cost of morning and afternoon refreshments during the conference. The evening meal on 16th will start at 9.00 pm in the restaurant Howies at 29 Waterloo Place, and should be paid for at the time of registration. The fixed cost for the 3 course meal including wine will be £25.
The cost of single room accommodation in Kenneth McKenzie Hall, in which most participants will be staying, is £31.50. Unless your expenses are being covered, or you have arranged your own accommodation, this amount should also be paid direcly to the ICMS at the time of registration.
Financial Support
The Organisers will be able to cover the overnight local expenses of UK graduate students, and may be able to help with travel costs as well. Anyone wishing to apply for such support should do so via Section 3 of the Registration Form.
